Safe skatepark – how to meet European standards?
Safety is the foundation of our design. A skatepark must be a space for progress, not stress. That's why at SZPLIN Ramps, every project is based on applicable safety standards – but for us, this is just a starting point. We prioritize solid workmanship, meticulous finishing, and thoughtful details.
1. European standards – the foundation of every project
Our skateparks and obstacles meet the requirements of the PN-EN 14974 standard, which covers geometry, slopes, obstacle heights, and safety zones. Our designs are compliant with this standard, and many design solutions go a step further – for greater comfort and durability.
2. Design and execution – one office, one vision
What sets us apart is the close collaboration between our design department and the installation team. This allows us to:
- every detail is thought out before the materials are cut,
- the designs are fully feasible and optimized for a specific location,
- The quality of the finish is at a very high level – from the unprecedented attachment of the running layer to the precise installation of the copings.
3. Warranty and external components
- All our products come with a standard 2-year consumer warranty.
- We also offer the option of extending the warranty to 7 years for selected solutions.
- External components, such as Gator Skins, are covered by the manufacturer's warranty (e.g. 5 years).
We focus on durability and fair conditions – so that the user has real protection, not just declarations.
4. Materials and tests
We use only proven materials in our projects:
- galvanized steel – resistant to weather conditions,
- waterproof anti-slip plywood – for maximum grip,
- carefully shaped copings and ridges,
- optional premium component finishes (Gator Skins, powder coating, etc.).
Each obstacle is tested before installation, and larger projects may be subject to a post-construction audit ( contact us for details)
5. We build for years to come, not just for a moment
Our goal is not just to meet standards, but to build a space that will withstand intense riding for many seasons. For us, safety isn't a statement—it's the result of a process and the commitment of the entire team.
